Diet for Lung Health

Here is a story about Broccoli for Lung Cancer Treatment
http://my.webmd.com/content/article/111/110196

It would help to do breathing exercises prior to obtaining lung cancer so you wouldn't have to eat that much broccoli, but if you have to and you are like me and don't really care for the taste I would suggest a good cream of broccoli soup or plenty of fresh Wisconsin Cheddar cheese on top!

Sleep Apnea

Here is a little information about Sleep Apnea and how my breathing exercises may help it!

Sleep Apnea is caused by relaxation of the muscles around the upper part of the throat during sleep that partially to completely block the airway passage. In a normal person this passage way is open enough to not cause snoring and eventual breathing stoppage.

In a person with sleep apnea you will find that the person snores sometimes very loudly and then complete silence for a period of time which is when the sleep apnea is occurring and they are not breathing. Their passage way is closed. After this pause the person snorts and then gasps and then continues to snore. When the snort and gasp occur the person comes out of deep sleep into a lighter phase, this unnatural interuption in sleep causes tiredness and the feeling of getting a bad nights sleep every day.

Sleep apnea is most common in overweight men. The combination of sleep apnea and obesity increases the risk of heart failure dramatically.

So how can my free breathing exercises from www.healingkinetics.com help?

Easy - teaching yourself how to breathe deeply will eventually lead to better subconscious breathing and more efficient breathing. The breathing exercises focus on your breathing muscles which does include the throat muscles that relax and cause the sleep apnea. After exercising your breathing muscles for two to four weeks they will firm up and be less flacid even when relaxed. This will keep your airway passage open during sleep. Also doing the breathing exercises is a start to increasing your metabolism and help you lose weight. The combination of these two things will help with sleep apnea.

Now realize that this is just a theory; however it has been shown in a few case studies that sleep apnea in some cases is relieved by deep breathing exercises. For me, I do not need case studies it is just a matter of making sense. If you can breathe better during the day and improve your oxygen capacity well then wouldn't it be better at night as well?

Water is not always water!

I just found out some interesting info. Check your water bottle labels for ingredients.

That's right some of the bottled water that you are purchasing is not just water. Some of the water has additives. Now I don't know about you but if water doesn't have magnesium and salt in it to start with why would it need to be added?

Personally if I am going to purchase at a premium price for water I want just water!
